Black Box Skill Drill
This workshop provides students and teachers with current strategies for answering reading comprehension questions on standardized test. Students compete with their classmates to earn points as they work through twenty (20) fun-filled reading activities.
Readball
This workshop focuses on using graphic organizers to build reading and writing skills. Students work on a number of graphic organizers earning points for each graph completed with 70% accuracy. This program is an excellent tool to reinforce books read from the accelerated reader list.
Think Tank Toolkit
This two hour interactive workshop provides teachers with strategies for teaching eight critical reading comprehension skills: vocabulary, main idea, fact/detail, sequencing, author’s purpose, compare and contrast, cause and effect, and reference and research.
Parents in Motion (PIM)
Parents in Motion Program is dedicated to providing resources and information to help make parenting more rewarding, effective and fun! This one day training will provide parents with eight key strategies for reinforcing reading comprehension in the home. |
